When we first imagined Artichoke, it wasn’t as a shop, exactly – it was as a feeling.
The kind you get when the light’s soft, the food’s simple, and the conversation stretches long past the last glass of wine. The kind of table that invites you in, not just for dinner, but for presence. For comfort. For connection.
We believe the way we cook, serve, and share has the power to shape the rhythm of our days – and that the things we use every day should be both beautiful and practical. Tools that feel good in your hand. Objects that make the everyday a little more nourishing.
Starting simply, starting with care
We’re beginning with two essentials: glassware and cutlery.
Not just any glassware – pressed French tumblers that catch the candlelight and feel just right for water, wine, or a quiet afternoon cordial. And not just any knives – Laguiole cutlery, forged with balance and intention, for everything from soft cheese to roast lamb.
Why these first? Because they’re foundational. Because they belong on every table, every day. And because they reflect what Artichoke is all about: timeless, thoughtful, and ready to use.
It all begins at the table – but it doesn’t end there.
At Artichoke, we’re just as interested in what happens before the meal is served. In the tools that shape the cooking, the hands that prep it, and the quiet rituals that make food feel like care.
We’re building slowly, one collection at a time – starting with the table, and soon expanding into the kitchen. Next, we’re hoping to introduce a range of Australian tableware – pieces with texture, soul, and thoughtful design.
We’re not about trends or overstuffed shelves. We’re about discovery. Curation. Finding pieces that feel right in your home and ready in your hands.
